Strength & Conditioning

Train for capability.
Program with intent.

Professional strength and conditioning designed to build durable, transferable performance for the demands of real life.

01 / PURPOSE

Training should prepare you to do more, tolerate more, and remain physically capable for the long term.

Train for more than fitness

About / Mission

Rooted in Appalachia.

The Appalachian Mountains are more than the visual identity of Train Capable. They represent the place, culture, and landscape that helped shape the values behind it.

Steep climbs, changing seasons, difficult ground, and long distances reward preparation, adaptability, and persistence. Those qualities are deeply connected to what Train Capable represents.

Capability is the ability to meet what is in front of you—to possess the strength, endurance, confidence, and resilience to navigate difficult terrain, adapt when circumstances change, and continue forward.

Enduring. Adaptable. Capable.

Train Capable exists to help people build and maintain the physical capability to meet the demands of their lives, now and for decades to come.

Our Programs

Methods are many.
Principles are the same.
Outcomes matter more than methodology.

There is no single training system, exercise, or programming style that owns the path to better performance. The right method is the one that best serves the intended outcome.

Each program begins with a clearly defined objective, then uses the training methods, loading strategies, and progression models best suited to achieving it.

Train with purpose. Measure what matters. Produce meaningful results.

Josh Berenbach, founder and head coach of Train Capable

Founder & Strength and Conditioning Coach

Josh

Josh is the founder of Train Capable and a strength and conditioning coach with experience across tactical human performance, private-sector performance training, and collegiate athletics.

A combat veteran himself, Josh later returned to the tactical environment as a strength and conditioning professional, working directly with Special Operations personnel and supporting the physical demands of high-performance operational populations.

His work focuses on the development of strength, power, work capacity, movement quality, and long-term physical durability—not allegiance to a single training style.
